Put the gear in the neutral position, set the parking brake and turn off the engine. After following these steps, open the hood of the car and disconnect the wire from the negative terminal of the battery. Get into your car. Make sure your car’s gear system is in neutral position. The engine is turned off and hand brake is applied. Parking brake is the other name of the hand brake. The negative terminal of the car’s battery is disconnected. The gear shifting knob is twisted counter clock wise direction and the knob is removed carefully. The center console is smashed and the cup holder is grabbed and removed carefully.
Once the console is removed completely you can see two screws. These screws are removed using appropriate screw drivers. These two screws can be found at the bottom side of the weather controlling panel.
The assembly of the climate control is entirely removed. This panel also includes the middle covers of the air vent. Once this cover is removed, it is turned over and the remaining screws twelve in number that mounts the radio with the air vent and other climate control are removed. When these screws are removed fully, the radio is free to be removed.
After removing the old radio, you can now install the new radio. The steps involved in the installation of the radio are exactly the reverse of the steps mentioned above. Replace the screws and the covers. Now put the gear back to its original position and connect the negative cable back to the negative terminal of the car’s battery.
