Formula One is definitely the most famous racing cars competitions. It is a single seaters contest that tests the skills of 24 contestants and 12 teams. The idea was borrowed from the European Grand Prix Motor Racing, but this time it gathered competitors from all over the world. Only the most skilled ones were allowed to compete in the first Formula One competition in 1950. This race was then held in the United Kingdom at Silverstone.

In the 1920′s and 1930′s the European Races were very famous among car race lovers. The Formula One went further on with these competitions and introduced new rules and regulations that all the contestants had to follow strictly to be allowed to compete. These rules established by FIA concerned not only the drivers but also the cars. Only the best ones were allowed to compete.

The Formula One from 1950 was followed by a 1958 competition that tested the constructors. The road cars manufacturers had to prove that their techniques and the abilities of their teams were worthy of such a competition. Names like Giuseppe Farina, Juan Manuel Fangio or the unbelievable Michael Schumacher made Formula One known to people from all around the world.

Things didn’t always go smoothly for the organizers and the contestants. Things like the financial issue, the rules and the commercial rights that were sold for billions of Dollars created a dispute between two main associations. The Formula One Constructor’s Association and the Federation Internationale du Sport Automobile argued for years on their roles in this competition. Fortunately the Concorde Agreement was signed in 1981 and made it clear for each side what were their attributions and responsibilities.

The same treaty was used from then on to set the new rules and regulations concerning both the technical and the safety issues. To avoid terrible accidents like those of Ayrton Senna and Roland Ratzenberger, FIA forced the constructors to concentrate as much on the safety of the drivers as they did on improving the performances of the cars.

No matter if it is for you personally or for your business, vehicle leasing can come in handy if you need contract hire, car or van lasing and hire throughout the UK.

Every sport has its own set of dangers and list of potential injuries. No sport is completely safe –that is obvious by the number of competitors who routinely get injured and either withdraw their name from competition, or sit on the bench and rehab until they are healed.

Some sports put competitors at risk of breaking bones and suffering concussions. Other sports put more of a stress on your knees, and ankles, resulting in many torn ligaments and limping players. Other sports, however, are simply more dangerous, as participants regularly risk their lives in the name of competition.

Car racing is one of those sports that has a more serious and more dangerous side to it than many others.

Therefore, if you are somebody who participates in car racing on a regular basis, you must first learn and understand the safety measures that are essential toward being a healthy and successful driver. There are dozens of pieces of safety equipment that are created and designed to help keep drivers safe, and being familiar with them is an important part of becoming a racecar driver.

The first thing you must make clear is what type of racing you usually compete in. There are different items for different people, and different items for different types of racing. To ensure that you are taking the best possible care of yourself when it comes time to race, you must make sure you are shopping in the right aisle: the auto racing aisle, or the kart racing aisle.

If you are an auto racer by trade, then you are fully aware of just how dangerous your sport of choice is. While there are many ways for an auto racer to get injured, there is one threat that is specific to auto racing, and that is being hurt or injured in a fire. There are dozens of safety measures built into your car so as to help keep you safe while you are driving or in the event of an accident: there is netting and straps and you, as the driver, are buckled and harnessed into your seat. As a result, getting in and out of your is not always the easiest thing to do. In the event that a fire breaks out and begins to spread within your car, you need to make sure that you have a few moments to get yourself safely out of the vehicle. With a fireproof racing suit, you can afford to stay inside your burning vehicle for a couple extra moments as you remove all the straps and get yourself out alive. Without a fire resistant suit, a fire could prove to be deadly. As a result, anybody who considers him or herself an auto racer better be sure that they have a suit that will fight to protect them.

While this is the biggest issue facing auto racers, kart racers deal with a different set of dangers. Kart racers most often experience injury when they are tossed from the kart or skid out and slide into another kart or into a wall. If a fire were to break out, they would be able to create some distance between themselves and the vehicle, as there is nothing holding them in place as is the case with an auto driver. Therefore, while fire resistance means less to a kart racer, a suit that will absorb the physical shock caused from being thrown onto the concrete or asphalt racetrack is more important than it would be to an auto racer.

In the end, it does not matter whether you are a professional auto racer or an amateur kart race – in the end, all that matters is that you take the necessary precautions before ever getting into a vehicle. The right suit, built for you and your needs and protection, is a great start.
