Opel has revealed Ampera as the name of its radical extended-range electric car. The five door, four seat Opel Ampera will be announced on the 2009 Geneva Motor Show.
The Ampera will be compatible to the driving by day schedule of most European clients. For example, about 80% of German drivers travel less than 50 km daily.
“With the Ampera, Opel will be the first European automobile manufacturer to provide customers several hundred kilometers of non-stop electric driving,” said, GM Europe Chief Marketing Officer, Alain Visser.
