Strategy for an superior green BMW supercar, the BMW Z10 ED, have been discovered.
The two-seat BMW Z10 ED, a creation of the company’s secretive Technik department, will be BMW’s flagship. It is being developed as a showcase for new drivelines, electronic technologies, body construction and auxiliary components. It is based on a solid Series platform, and it’s a showcase for well-organized Dynamics with an eDrive symbol. BMW is investigating integrated door frames and sill panels for the Z10 and the engines said to be under thought for the green supercar is a latest high-pressure turbocharged direct-injection straight six outputting 400 hp and use the seven-speed dual-clutch gearbox.
The brake energy renewal system will be customized to store energy in an extra lithium-ion battery, in effect making the BMW Z10 ED a hybrid.
The concept will be presented by BMW at the Frankfurt Show soon in Tokyo.
BMW Z10 ED will be constructed in limited serie and his price will be about L80,000.
